A national congress is held annually, preferably in rotation at a different institution. Since 2003 an annual colloquium for young scholars is also organized to provide a vehicle for interdisciplinary interchange, exposure, as well as a publishing opportunity as the contributions of the colloquium are published in a volume of the following year’s Journal for Semitics. |
