(SASNES)
A national congress is held annually, preferably in rotation at a different institution. Since 2003 an annual colloquium for young scholars is also organized to provide a vehicle for interdisciplinary interchange, exposure, as well as a publishing opportunity as the contributions of the colloquium are published in a volume of the following year’s Journal for Semitics.
SASNES 2010: NORTH-WEST UNIVERSITY (VAAL TRIANGLE CAMPUS)
SASNES 2010 will plan our 23rd annual conference in conjunction with the Old Testament Society of South Africa. Both conferences are hosted by the North-West University on its Vaal Triangle Campus on the banks of the Vaal River.

If the proposal has bearing on the colloquium, please indicate it clearly. For more information on the colloquium and its topic, please contact the convenor, At Lamprecht (At.Lamprecht@nwu.ac.za).
Format of proposals:
1. Name, title and institution of contributor.
2. Title of proposed paper. (Indicate if it relates to the colloquium.)
3. Abstract (not longer than 250 words).
Matters related to accommodation, conference fees, etc., will be communicated early in the new year.
